GetStringConfigurationValue

This will get a value from the member's configuration. The type MUST match the value. For example, you cannot load an integer using the standard string type. This function retrieves only standard string values.

Syntax

std::string GetStringConfigurationValue( const char * object )

Required Arguments

  • object: The object from the configuration you want to receive. Read this forum thread for more information about dumping objects for a function like this.

Returns

std::string: The value of the returned object.

Example

This example retrieves the hitsound location.

std::string hitsound_location = GetFloatConfigurationValue( "visuals_hitsound_location" );

Notes

  • Retrieval of an object that does not match the type will return zero.
  • As the related cheat retrieves updates, make sure you dump a list of objects so you are aware of any changes for your future development plans.
